Madison's Birdie Loo owned by
Jon and Velvet Schwarz, Durango, CO -- Sire Huenenbrink's
RockofGibraltar, Dam Ridgeday's Bo

Dear Jo and
Gary, Wanted to say hello and wish you and your family a healthy and
happy holiday season! Also wanted to tell you guys again what a
fantastic addition Maddie has been. We could not help ourselves in
spoiling her rotten. She really has done some amazing things in the
field. One that stands out is a retrieve she made on a hun I missed, at
least I thought so. I will make this short. Maddie pointed a covey of
huns, I walked in, shot, missed, said a couple of choice words and went
on hunting. Ten minutes or so later and hundreds of yards into the
prairie, Maddie comes back with the hun still warm! She did the same
thing on a couple pheasants the year before. She is loyal, intelligent,
and consistently finds and points wild birds in the field. My lost bird
rate is way, way, way down. She LOVES to go get the bird!!!!! Thanks
again for breeding such wonderful Dogs!!!!! Take care, Jon
Sage owned
by Bart Schmidthuber & Carol Wright, Conner, MT -- Sire Prairie's Edge
Tippy, Dam Ridgeday's Slick Sunday

Hi Jo - Sage is doing great! She is so very cute, smart, active,
funny...a complete puppy package! We fall in love with her more
everyday. We really feel like she is going to be a great dog. We can see
the signs of how very smart she really is, already getting potty
training down, she goes to the door to be let out (and boy do puppies go
a lot!), she knows her name and is learning the meaning of no, she is
bringing the dummy back to us.... the list goes on and on. She is
independent and loving too. She loves her two brothers, who are Blue Tic
hounds that live outside, visits them almost every time she goes out.
Thanks for all your hard work. We love Sage and are so happy to have
our little Christmas package! We don't need any toys this year! Will
keep you posted. Carol and Bart
Cooper owned
by Cassie Morton & Mark Szeliga, Bozeman, MT with friend Koya -- Sire
Prairie's Edge Tippy, Dam Ridgeday's Slick Sunday

"Cooper
the Pooper!" Well he sure does poop a lot! Little Cooper is doing
so well and we love him so much! What a great puppy. He went to the vet
yesterday and they said he looks/ feels healthy. He weighs 10 pounds, 7
ounces. He hasn't had any trouble eating or drinking. Seems to have
grown a lot in the few days we've had him. The ducks at our park have
already got his attention. Koya, our other dog, loves him already. We
were amazed by how maternal she is being. She plays, shares her bones
and even checks on little Coop when he's sleeping in his crate. We are
so happy and lucky to have him! Thank you so much!
Testimonial of Wayne Hunt, Purchaser of a Pup from Ridgeday Kennels of
Montana
I was looking for a German Shorthaired Pointer pup
when I came across the Ridgeday Kennel website. After calling and
talking to Jo, I was convinced that they really cared about their dogs
and puppies. My family and I drove to Montana from South Dakota to pick
up our new puppy, Hope. (Sire Crosswinds Truckin' Fritz, Dam
Ridgeday's Elegance)
I started training her at about 6 months. I was
amazed with how intelligent and loyal this dog was. Hope mastered all
the basic obedience commands in 6 weeks. I took her out in the field
with the dummy all summer long to get her ready for her first bird
season in 2006. Bird season finally came and I couldn’t wait to get
Hope out hunting. Hope impressed everyone hunting with us. By the end
of the bird season, she was performing like a veteran.
Thanks to Ridgeday Kennels for breeding such high
quality German Shorthaired Pointers.
Wayne Hunt, Rapid City, South Dakota
Mia -- Sire Huenenbrink's RockofGibraltar, Dam Ridgeday's Elegance

Today was Mia's first pheasant hunt, she
did awesome! Pointed and retrieved like a champ. Up until today we have
only been hunting grouse, (just to help develop a strong point) she did
as well holding the pheasants as she did with the grouse. Anyway, I
just wanted to check in and let you know how happy i am with her, she is
a great companion and hunting partner.
Thanks,
Justin (Missoula, MT)

Zeb pointing up his first wild hun on the eve of his first birthday
--
Sire Huenenbrink's RockofGibraltar, Dam Ridgeday's Elegance

So, I will just go ahead and say it...If
you want a GREAT German Shorthair, get a Ridgeday pup!!! We got Zeb
last Thanksgiving (a product of Rock and Elle, brother to Bridger, see
below) and he has been a great dog from day one. A quick learner both
around the house and in the field, Zeb has a ton of natural skill and
hunting drive to match. He started pointing a pheasant wing in the yard
at 3 months and when first exposed to birds in the field he locked up on
point. This was our first time with a pointing breed so we were nervous
about training, but Zeb has made that easy. Also, Gary and Jo are great
to work with! From our first conversation on the phone, to constant
updates of pictures, to help in picking a puppy, training tips...what a
great experience! They take pride in what they are doing and it shows.
Can’t wait to see photos of the next litter!

Bridger owned by Jason Sibble--Sire Huenenbrink's RockofGibraltar Dam Ridgeday's
Elegance

Bridger with his birds from today. Two
days into the season, we’ve taken 5 roosters. One was accidentally
flushed by me, and the other 4 were all Bridger. He's an amazing bird
dog. You would never know he's under a year old. Well, you guys would
but you know....He has crazy desire, amazing stamina, and his all around
drive for birds is unbelievable. Rock solid when on point. Won’t budge.
Listens very well. Max range is 45ish yards, then returns to check in.
Instinctive figure 8...I think. I didn't teach it. He fully understands
2 different whistle commands as well. Thanks so much for a wonderful
bird dog! I think he would make you guys proud. Thanks!

To: Ridgeday Kennels -- I purchased
a female puppy named Grace from you 4 years ago and wanted to let you
know that she has been a wonderful addition to our family and my hunting
experiences. She is a full sister to Elle (now with a new litter).
Lee is her sire (a 4-time NSTRA Champion) and Pearl is her dam (a 1-time
NSTRA Champion). Grace has a very keen sense on birds, is steady
on point and is a very kind and loveable dog. This was my first
experience with a pointer and I love every minute of my time in the
field. She is a natural retriever and in fact has been with me on
several duck hunts, retrieving well in cold water and also in heavy
cover. She works at a medium distance, always wanting to please,
and ready to go at the drop of a hat . . . I only hope that you will
have another puppy available when I get ready to buy again. From:
Terry Wagner, Miles City, Montana

I have a female from Ridgeday Kennel's Aug. 31,'07
litter. This is my first time training a shorthair. Right from the
beginning she was quick to learn and very outgoing. She showed good
drive and excellent natural pointing, scenting, and retrieving ability.
At only nine months old, she won a local contest by retrieving with the
fastest time (and setting a record) from the rapid flowing Animas River.
She is a lot of fun to hunt behind. She runs fairly big on the open
grass plains, then shortens up and busts brush in the thick stuff. I
couldn't be happier with my decision to get a dog from Ridgeday. Well
thought out breeding, meticulous health care, and socialization of pups
all helped in getting my pup started. I will recommend them to serious
hunters, who also want a great family pet.
Feel free to e-mail me with any questions.
Sincerely,
Jon Schwarz

Pictures of Our Female GSPs
NSTRA Field Champion Huenenbrink's Pearl,
the mother and grandmother of our other females, Elle, Sunday & May

NSTRA Field
Champion Huenenbrink's
Pearl is a beautiful, showy girl out of 4-time NSTRA Champion, Dan's
Kamikaze Rio, and Champion Jack's Flashdance Crystal. She
exhibits great conformation with hips rated OFA Good.
In 2008,
Pearl placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the first 3 NSTRA trials she
competed in.
Pearl's
first place at the 2008 Murdock Ranch NSTRA Spring Trial earned her the
final points she needed to obtain her first NSTRA championship.

In the spring
of 2006, at the Savage, Montana, trial, she placed first and third on
the same day. Pearl was also invited to the NSTRA Grand Nationals
in 2006 but was unable to compete due to her coming into heat.
Pearl moves
with athleticism and grace. She has an excellent nose. She consistently
scores high on her finds as well as her retrieves in the field trials (
high 80's, low 90's). We hunt Pearl extensively and she is a
tireless bird finder. She may be the best retrieving GSP we have ever seen
and she's great in the water.
